About Elena Adams
Elena Rosemary Adams (b. Dec 2002) is a contemporary classical composer and arranger of folk music, from Manchester, UK.
In September 2024, Elena embarked on an MMus in Music Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music, and is currently studying under Prof David Horne and Dr Anna Appleby.
Elena's compositional projects include workshopping a piece with BBC Singers at Maida Vale; arranging for RNCM Session Orchestra with Tim Burgess; and working with RNCM Community Choir and fellow composer Amit Manna as a composer-in-residence on a collaborative operetta, the Realities of Urban Living, premiered at the Bridgewater Hall in June 2025.
Adams' piece for wind orchestra, Gost, will be premiered by RNCM Wind Orchestra in November 2025. Elena is also set to workshop new music with London Sinfonietta in December 2025, and is representing the RNCM in Leeds Song Festival 2025-26.
